Nothing like a good silk...

I had the opportunity to meet a new designer, Nophar. I visited her NYC studio and got to know her a bit and learn about what inspired her for this collection of minimalist and timeless silk pieces. 

Nophar considers silk to be the best fabric choice as it falls nicely on a woman's body and flatters all shapes and sizes. Since her pieces are so versatile, they appeal to younger and middle aged to older women.  They retail in the $200-600 range, and when you think of luxurious silk fabric, with a timeless appeal, it makes sense.

Her idea was to create pieces that women can just grab and go, yet look feminine and elegant. "There's nothing like a good silk dress in your closet" and in the case of Nophar, you would have a skirt, pants, shorts and tops (let alone a dress). These pieces are perfect for showcasing your personal style as they allow for creativity and plenty of accessorizing. 

And if you don't feel pretty enough wearing her silks, Nophar also has a one of a kind line of fringe necklaces and jewelry called Reason to be Pretty. The creativity doesn't stop! The necklaces can completely transform an outfit, and they compliment her silk pieces nicely, as they're mostly solid colors that include pastels and snakeskin prints, perfect for fall. 

Her fringe jewelry collection is great for venturing outside of the comfort zone and experimenting with a statement piece.
