New sunnies

Casual Sunday today, had Brunch at 508 in Soho which was divine, then continued along running a few errands with babe.  I stopped at Aloha Rag, loved their selection of 3.1 Phillip Lim and Maison Martin Margiela, but I also saw in person the mustard yellow Alexander Wang I will most likely be getting as my Spring handbag (I immediately added to my Spring hit-list after it arrived at Barneys online). I then went into Mulberry, first time checking out their new Soho Boutique, paying my respect to LFW. Anyway, the store is super cool and unique. I was also considering an over-sized Alexa in a spring color (pastel) but it didn’t speak to me like the Wang...still deciding.

My outfit involved 3 layers, color blocking and pastels with a flowers scarf. I wanted it to say ”Hey Spring you’re just about here and I'm ready for you, please come at any time”. And in preparation for Spring I also needed to pick up a new pair of sunnies, you can see from the three photos below how desperately so.(Squinting)

After checking out the selection at Sunglass Hut, and some other boutiques, I saw a beautiful pair of cat-eyed RayBans I wanted so badly. The salesman at Sunglass Hut tried his best to locate them but they were sold out everywhere (figures) and he refused to sell me that last pair at a discount (they had a small scratch on them), did I say I wanted them badly? Well, the fact that they were sold out everywhere made me want them more…crazy?

I continued looking (he convinced me they would be back in stock by Thursday so I had to leave him alone) and walking, stopping everywhere (minus the street vendors, not that desperate yet) and found the perfect pair at Solstice. A pair of Kate Spade cat-eyed with a metal frame, with a hint of leopard, so fab! I would have never thought I'd end up buying Kate Spades, but with these not having hit the floor yet, (they had just pulled them from their inventory, I drove the sweet sales lady a bit crazy) I purred, purrfect…and just had to have.

Despite the fact that I was super casual in comfy Calvin Klein wedge boots my feet still were killing me by the end of the day from all the walking. I don't know how models do it, all those go-sees on a daily basis and still look sexy...(bitches) yep, I don't envy them one bit. ;-)
