Athletic Style

If you haven't jumped on the athletic style band-wagon yet - you need to. Work out clothes are more stylish than ever before. I recently learned about Fabletics, which is part of the JustFab family. I love the idea behind Fabletics so much more - as shoes and bags are the one thing I cannot skimp on, but the thought of spending $300 + on an outfit that essentially you sweat in and run errands in, is very concerning. Fabletics lets you get personalized workout outfits (for both men and women) and you can get your first outfit for $25 bucks. That's cheaper than a t-shirt these days! Yep, maybe you can skip Lulu Lemon and Athleta next time you shop for new workout gear.

This is a man's world...NY Men's Fashion week that is

As a fashion stylist - I have been working close to a decade as some of you may know, and several of my clients are men. I couldn't be more excited for Men's Fashion Week to finally hit NYC and for the men to get the attention they deserve in this city. I've enjoyed the collections and also got a few smiles out of my 3 month old son - I think he enjoyed the shows too :)

Still digesting all the shows, but some stand outs.

John Varvatos
Pinstripes! Head to toe stripes, striped pants and sport jacket. Lastly, stand out when suited and booted, forget the traditional as nothing beats a crisp crimson suit.

Engineered Garments
They know how to have fun with fashion and play up men's styles in a not so serious way - maybe you're not bold enough to try a head to toe red plaid look, but how about just the tie and shirt? Loved the cool blues on the second plaid jacket.

Brunello Cuccinelli

Although this show did not take place in NY, it's always a fave. Spring 2015, I just love the traditional men's looks in the sport jackets, khakis and brogues, mixed with a bit of youth and boy-hood. The layering was perfection.

Stay stylish handsome ;)

My favorites from DIOR HAUTE COUTURE

After reading about Uber having to pick up people in discreet locations during the Paris Taxi strike that happened when Men's PFW took place, I'm glad I got to enjoy this show from the comfort of my own home. Although it's hard to say I wouldn't rather be in Paris (sigh). These were my favorites from the Dior Haute Couture show.

I love the whimsical and romantic feel of every look. The platform gladiators worn with all the dresses made the looks cool and edgy. Now, I literally want to wear a pair of neutral gladiators with everything. Nothing can make one feel more Parisian than wearing Dior. What more can I say? J'adore Dior.

I took a hiatus from blogging – about a year and a half off to be exact (things you can do when it isn't a paying gig) If you’re wondering why (otherwise scroll to the next paragraph:)…when I started this blog, I had no idea what I was doing - nor that a billion plus people would be doing it. I mainly wanted to share my outfits, adventures, thoughts and inspiration. Looking back at my posts I can’t help but be proud, this blog has been incredibly rewarding in terms of the experiences, people and new things I’ve been exposed to because of it. It was also a lot of hard work for a non-paying gig! I did it simply because I enjoyed it.

Fast forward to today, with so many people blogging, especially celebrities who have disposable income to hire a professional crew, I thought, am I even relevant? Or am I sharing something new – that isn’t already being shared a million times over? How do I differentiate myself?

During my hiatus, I gave birth to my first baby and got married – so pregnancy, mommy-hood and all that came with it distracted me for a while. So here I am back at it again. I promise not to go away for so long (unless something major happens of course…say baby #2, JUST KIDDING), but I will write posts as often as I can, leaving my mark as they say. I hope it will be interesting enough to engage you, and keep you coming back for more. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your readership and support!

Inspiration...I dream of Versace

It has been a while since I obsessed over a collection. Versace Pre-Fall 2014 is everything! I loved the edgy and cool vibe of every look. The oversized jackets, the chic haircut on the model (inspiring me to cut my tresses for 2014!), a pastel pink coat that looks anything BUT girlie! This collection is pure genius.

Sharing my favorites for your viewing pleasure:

Lastly, this black dress is epic, a timeless-chic explosion! (Don't think I've ever used such a term)

PS. I hope you're staying warm and chic during the holidays. Missed BellachicStyle? I took a mini vacation. But the good news is the blog is getting a makeover for 2014.
