Coterie has winded down quite a bit this year, a lot of the brands seemed disappointed with the lack of foot traffic from buyers and press. This means, several designs, such as this hot little number by ABS by Allen Schwartz don't even go into production!
Favorite shows: DVF OMG Naomi Campbell closing, epic! Her collection was fun, feminine, sexy with all the dresses I could ask for in the Spring. See the full collection here Oscar de la Renta, because he had some of the models, Chanel Iman, wear embellished flats on the runway, and he's one of the great talents from my little island (Dominican Republic). His gowns never disappoint. I dream of Oscar. See the full collection here 3.1 Phillip Lim, loved his unique collection of loose fitted tops, the prints and minimalist style is what appealed to me the most, and in person, he's also a sweetheart! See the full collection here DKNY, denim overalls, sneakers, the epitome of comfort and sporty city style. She also had Rita Ora walk the runway, and celebrated 25 years with a killer party. See the full collection here Alexander Wang, leather crop tops, more overalls, chic blazers, and minimalist style. Nothing too form fitting. See the collection here and BCBG, I am such a BCBG girl! This collection was feminine, fashion forward, sexy and cool. See it here I have not seen every collection from every designer, but from the ones I have seen, these have been my absolute favorites. Surely, there are others!
Favorite events: the Daily Front Row first fashion media awards, FMA. It was an intimate event at Harlow that drew famous faces like Lady Gaga, Jessica Biel, Marc Jacobs and models Karlie Kloss, Heidi Klum and stylists Robert Verdi, and Glenda Bailey of Harpers Bazaar.
I'm wearing a pair of boyfriend jeans from Blank Denim and I couldn't be happier with these. I'm still trying to rip a pair of old jeans from my beau, which will be slouchy and fall at the waist a bit more. In the mean time, I love how these are fitted at the waist but with a bit of breathing room down my leg, though not too loose fit. These were also under $100. Major score!
This outfit is my idea of a transitional summer to fall look. The suede vest is still light enough to wear alone, layered in the colder months, the jeans I look forward to wearing over and over. My Phillip Lim Pashli and Christian Louboutin heels complete this very fall ready, minimalist look.
Hope you're all enjoying this weekend!
