I dream of Altuzzara, NYFW

Altuzarra just made my dream collection. Elegant, sexy...timeless. Thank you! I dream of Altuzzara. I want every single piece in my closet but overall these were my favorites at NYFW Spring 2016. Amazing. Claps for Joseph Altuzarra!

A Timeless Outfit by Saint Laurent

When Farfetch asked me to build an outfit that could be worn for an eternity, a timeless outfit that includes the Iconic "Smoking Jacket" by Saint Laurent, I was beyond excited and honored! When I think about an outfit that truly transcends the test of time, I can't help but think of films that made me appreciate style and fashion. I love being able to look at an outfit someone is wearing and know what is 60s, 70s and 80s fashion. I love films that although released close to a century ago, still look iconic and stylish. When I think of timeless style in a film, Audrey Hepburn comes to mind in Breakfast at Tiffany's, one of my favorite movies.

Parisian chic stand out in my mind, black and white with a hint of red, leopard and leather.... I imagine the timeless heel being a classic pointy toe pump, one I could own forever and wear time and time again. This is a timeless outfit in my mind, and so I built this outfit that looks very current today yet I envision it being worn for an eternity as it will always be stylish. I chose leather pants as I believe they're the epitome of cool and rock and roll. When has there been a time one did not want to look cool and rock and roll?

A white collar, buttoned down shirt is classy. One that's tailored to perfection can be worn forever. It's one of those pieces that is a staple in every wardrobe. A simple long necklace is very minimalist. A leopard scarf is fierce, sexy and feminine. Leopard is always in style and even more so when worn as an accessory in a silk scarf.

The Iconic Smoking Jacket by Saint Laurent is the ultimate staple. There will never be a time a woman or man will not need a black tailored blazer. It's classy and uber stylish.

Lastly, I chose a red leather chain strap purse for a hint of color and sexy. Wearing a quilted red leather little purse is beyond chic. It's youthful and fun. Who doesn't want to be youthful?

All pieces are by Saint Laurent New Season and currently available at Farfetch.

My jet setter heels

These babies just got back from Miami, without me. Literally. I also earned some cash while they were away which is pretty sweet. Village Luxe lets you rent your closet to fashionistas in your community. Currently it's NYC based. They have an amazing "share your style" concept and have been labeled the Airbnb of fashion. Their June launch was featured on WWD no less.  I met Julia of Village Luxe a while back through a mutual friend and when she shared the idea of Village Luxe and asked if I was willing to add pieces from my closet, I jumped at the opportunity and felt like I was part of a revolution. This is the future.

About the heels: They're Giuseppe Zanotti Design, a style called Alien and I must say, I do feel like a sexy Alien when I wear them - by far my favorite pair of 6 inch heels and I cannot rave about how uber sexy they are with the ankle wrap around style...ay mamasita!

To join and start renting from the uber-stylish fashionistas that have their closet up on Village Luxe, use my invite code Daisy.

Athletic Style

If you haven't jumped on the athletic style band-wagon yet - you need to. Work out clothes are more stylish than ever before. I recently learned about Fabletics, which is part of the JustFab family. I love the idea behind Fabletics so much more - as shoes and bags are the one thing I cannot skimp on, but the thought of spending $300 + on an outfit that essentially you sweat in and run errands in, is very concerning. Fabletics lets you get personalized workout outfits (for both men and women) and you can get your first outfit for $25 bucks. That's cheaper than a t-shirt these days! Yep, maybe you can skip Lulu Lemon and Athleta next time you shop for new workout gear.

This is a man's world...NY Men's Fashion week that is

As a fashion stylist - I have been working close to a decade as some of you may know, and several of my clients are men. I couldn't be more excited for Men's Fashion Week to finally hit NYC and for the men to get the attention they deserve in this city. I've enjoyed the collections and also got a few smiles out of my 3 month old son - I think he enjoyed the shows too :)

Still digesting all the shows, but some stand outs.

John Varvatos
Pinstripes! Head to toe stripes, striped pants and sport jacket. Lastly, stand out when suited and booted, forget the traditional as nothing beats a crisp crimson suit.

Engineered Garments
They know how to have fun with fashion and play up men's styles in a not so serious way - maybe you're not bold enough to try a head to toe red plaid look, but how about just the tie and shirt? Loved the cool blues on the second plaid jacket.

Brunello Cuccinelli

Although this show did not take place in NY, it's always a fave. Spring 2015, I just love the traditional men's looks in the sport jackets, khakis and brogues, mixed with a bit of youth and boy-hood. The layering was perfection.

Stay stylish handsome ;)

My favorites from DIOR HAUTE COUTURE

After reading about Uber having to pick up people in discreet locations during the Paris Taxi strike that happened when Men's PFW took place, I'm glad I got to enjoy this show from the comfort of my own home. Although it's hard to say I wouldn't rather be in Paris (sigh). These were my favorites from the Dior Haute Couture show.

I love the whimsical and romantic feel of every look. The platform gladiators worn with all the dresses made the looks cool and edgy. Now, I literally want to wear a pair of neutral gladiators with everything. Nothing can make one feel more Parisian than wearing Dior. What more can I say? J'adore Dior.
